ProForce Dancers FAQs
1
Who are ProForce Dancers / Cheerleader?
ProForce Dancers / Cheerleaders is an independent professional cheer and dance team. We were established in 2019. We are contracted with various sports teams within the Charlotte area to bring fan engagement and in-game entertainment to their sporting events.
2
What are some of the benefits of being a ProForce Dancer?
The ability to grow, dance, train, and perform at local sporting or community events (dependent upon the season). Exposure through social media and other community events. Continuous training led by professionals that have been part of the pro dance and cheer community. More importantly, being part of a lifelong sisterhood of other likeminded dancers.
3
What teams does ProForce Dancers cheer / dance for?
ProForce Dancers are contracted with sports teams seasonally/yearly. In the past, we have been the official cheerleaders for the local arena football team, as well as a semi-professional basketball team.
4
What does the team do if there is no contracted sports team?
If there is not a contracted sports team for that season, our mission is continuous pro dance training, local community appearances, photoshoots and performances.
5
Is the team compensated?
ProForce Dancers is a volunteer-based team. However, dancers maybe compensated for their time for compensable appearances or any sports team that we are contracted with and compensated from. There are other non-compensable perks as well, such as, photoshoots, team outing events, and high profile appearances.
6
What is the time commitment if you make the team?
While being a PFD is more flexible than a national professional team, it is still a commitment. Depending on the season, we can meet or rehearse anywhere from 1-2x per week or as little as 2-4x monthly. If we are contracted with a sports team, each dancer is expected to perform at 80% of the game and be part of any major team events (i.e., Junior ProForce Dancers).
7
Is there an age limit to tryout?
To try out, you must be 18 by May 4, 2025. There is no maximum age limit.
